Prohibited Activities

- Owning more than 5% of a covered crypto asset
- Serving on boards of crypto projects
- Accepting free tokens or private allocations
Required Disclosures
- All crypto holdings above $1,000
- Investments in crypto companies
- Family relationships with industry leaders
- Paid advisory or mentoring roles
- Speaking or consulting income
Trading Restrictions
48-Hour Trading Freeze
No editorial team member may trade cryptocurrencies 48 hours before or after publishing articles that could affect prices.
This includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, and any altcoins mentioned in our articles.
Long-Term Holdings Policy
Editorial team members may only hold cryptocurrencies for long-term investment (minimum 6 months).
Short-term trading is strictly prohibited to avoid conflicts of interest.
Pre-Clearance System
All crypto trades must be pre-cleared by our ethics committee and reported within 24 hours.
Editorial Independence Safeguards
Separation of Editorial and Business
Our editorial team operates independently from any business or advertising considerations. Editorial content is never influenced by commercial relationships.
No Pay-for-Play
We never accept payment, cryptocurrency, or other compensation in exchange for coverage. All sponsored content is clearly labeled and separated from editorial content.
Gift Policy
Editorial team members cannot accept gifts, tokens, or other items of value from subjects of our coverage. Minimal promotional items (under $25 value) may be accepted but must be disclosed.
Enforcement and Consequences
Violation Consequences
- First violation: Formal warning and mandatory ethics retraining
- Second violation: Suspension without pay and public disclosure
- Serious violations: Immediate termination and industry notification
Review Process
All ethics violations are reviewed by our Ethics Committee, which includes independent external advisors.
- Initial investigation within 48 hours
- Full committee review within 2 weeks
- Written decision with rationale provided
- Appeal process available for contested decisions
